I’ve put mixes together as well using MixMeister, great tool. A colleague of mine used it for a while playing live before he transitioned over fully to Traktor.
Friday was Canada Day so we had a long weekend as well, same stuff, fireworks, bbq, we sipped a few drinks singing on our friend’s home karaoke machine… gotta play out tonight then my little girl’s baptism is sunday

Last weekend I got ‘StutterEdit’ from Native Instruments; but have yet to find out whether it is just a Gimmick or whether it can actually be used in a Creative Manner – although Experimenting (away from the Presets) has in fact been Quite Cool 🙂
please let us know how you make out with this, I just saw videos of this on Monday and was quite intrigued
I have played on the Denon unit using both Traktor LE and the hacked mapping for Serato SSL (not Itch) with great results. I don’t have a lot of experience with Traktor software but I have used a lot of various Denon gear in different dj booths over the years and the mc6000 feels like pro-grade equipment and I got the basics down pretty quick with Traktor. With the hacked midi-mapping for ScratchLive, I found it performs quite nicely as well.
D-Jam, that is EXACTLY why I switched from Final Scratch to ScratchLive. I was struggling to decide which way I was going to go but some contributing factors to my decision were mainly the reputation of stability, vinyl emulation, ease of use in any CD deck environment (ie Denon 2000 dual decks in relative mode) and the fact that 98% of my colleagues in my inner circle of DJ friends were using Serato. Endorsements go a long way that’s for sure.
