It’s a great piece of kit. Mine has copped years of use and some abuse and still runs strong.
I bought a DJTT midi-fighter instead of sample pads but my set up is probably a bit more complex than most.
Seriously, though the build quality is awesome… would definitely recommend.

No dis-respect meant to Terry because my situation could be shear fluke… but was doing a gig with 2 other dj’s and 2 of us had some weird ground hum. My other half had bought me some DJTT Usb Cables for Christmas that I had never used but were in my bag (always carry spares).. I swapped the cable from my laptop to controller with built in s/card and my hum stopped.

Like I said, maybe shutting down fixed it and maybe my other half is a sucker for paying higher prices but it seemed to work for me on that occassion. Terry please post if what I am saying is wrong because I don’t want to mislead anyone.

I agree 100% with D-Jam. I am not the most tech savvy person in the world but a good mate is an absolute pc nut so he provided similar advice to what D-Jam is saying. My only hints would be get a SSD (it made a huge difference on my laptop which was already speced up) and if you are a registered user of virtual dj there is a utility that will actually optimise your laptop before you perform.

Not sure if you have to have a higher version than LE (haven’t used the site in a while) but it works for me and I now use Traktor.

I would suggest checking your audio routing in your software. Not sure what menu it is under in Serato but it sounds to me like that could be a good starting point.
    Other things to check:
    1. Are speakers powered on and inputs in the right plugs? Have made this error before.
    2. Do you have other cables you could try?

I am sure others will give you much more detail but these things are normally an easy error to make and fix.
