That majorly depends on the style of music that you play and the way you mix. I personally play high energy bass music (such as dubstep, trap, electro, future house and so on) and so lots of time I find myself just mixing in a track in the buildup and then dropping the second track (or do that with a few tracks like she does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLu5b4Arl7U )
Anyway if u dj techno and deep house then you want to use more loops and combine a few tracks together using clever eq,
Just be creative and don’t be afraid to make sharp changes.
