ParticipantFrom the controllers that you suggested it sounds like you are using virtual DJ? Just want to confirm because that info can help others to help you better.

ParticipantYou would probably do alright with a mixtrack pro and serato.

ParticipantTry to ignore them from the off. Put your headphones on and if they tap grad you point to the headphones. You have to be firm when saying no. If those Jock types think they can wiggle their way in some one they’ll keep trying.

ParticipantIt might have something to do with “soft takeover”. When using 4 decks on a 2 deck controller, the software wont change all the settings of the volume faders right away when you switch to deck 3/4. you have to move the pitch/line/eq knobs to their default position before they will have any effect.

ParticipantCheck your sound settings in the windows control panel and make sure the djio is not set as the default soundcard. Sometimes that can cause conflicts with the system.

ParticipantI actually just helped a guy out with a gig that did something similar. He’s been in the game for a very long time and has a really good reputation. I was surprised to find out that he played a lot of very long premixed mixes. He made them himself though and they were like hour long CD’s worth. Was it cheating? Initially i felt that way but after some thought i would say no. If you have enough experience to know what a crowd would like and be able to use the mixes effectively then go ahead. I prefer the flexibility of individual tracks.
