    Maybe you could change the mapping so that you would have to Press Shift+CUE to use CUE but that might not be what you want. I can think of how to do it in VDJScript but I’m not as familiar with TRaktor.

    Thanks for the advice I have checked out the LD systems and I don’t think they sell them in the US. At least I haven’t found anywhere that sells them. I have been wary of my current setup dying on me so I always keep my eyes on the volume levels and gain structure. I don’t think I’ve ever pushed them all the way.

    I figured that uif I bought a sub now that later on if I/when my current speakers die I could buy a top or two like the Mackie thump 15’s but I guess I’ll cross that bridge later.

    Well I have been playing out with them for the past 3 years 🙂 It’s an old Carver amp (and 2 3 way speakers) that i inherited from my late uncle. For a 20+ year old amp it still runs (buy quality right?). my controller also has XLR out would it be possible to use both? I hope that’s not a stupid question.

    Gemini fan here! (Thanks for the intro Chuck) I own the G2V (basically the same as the G4V with 2 channels) The advantages the Slate has are the colored pads its lighter, smaller, and the layout for headphone and other audio jacks are on the side which may not be a plus depending on your set up. The G4V has a full metal enclosure so it is heavier but it feels really solid. although multi colored pads would be nice you don’t really need them. The GV series also has more buttons and controls which add more value especially if you don’t mind a little mapping. It also has xlr outputs which the slate does not.

    Long story short the slate seems like a lower level controller focused at the Mixtrack pro level where it seems quite capable. The G4V, on the other hand, is more of a mid-range budget pro controller.

    The active above is spot on. One of the points from the guide that I would like to bring out if that you should decide what software you would be using first as that would lean you towards which controller to get.

    If you go to the sampler section and right click the little icon in the corner od each bank and click load. then you should be able select whatever music file you want.

    I don’t have that controller but maybe the tray agent might be affecting it

    That song editor would be very useful to me and might help me eliminate having to use audacity for small edits. I’m curious about scratch performance because if they have that down I’ll never look at another program.

    To me the Slate looks awesome. I almost wish i waited for that one to come out since i got last years G2V but it’s all good. The Beatmix 4 is a good deal if you use serato. I would definitely recommend the slate over the Mixtrack.

    I wouldn’t call it entry level because the only thing entry level about it is the price (the best part). Have you tried eBay?

    I love the thing. I usually don’t get gear envy except with multi colored leds (which I don’t really need). It’s solid and hasn’t failed me yet.

    It works great on my galaxy note 8. I can Plug it into my G2V and have 2 extra decks and a sample unit lol
