ParticipantThanks guys I forgot about the whole balanced/unbalanced thing. I’ll grab a couple of those. It’s meant for a short distance anyway.

ParticipantI think what happened was that, to VDJ, your files are in a different place and aren’t the same files. I use it on windows and i would check in the config menu to check and fix the database. Make sure you back up the file first just in case. Let me know what happens.

ParticipantI organize my music by genres that I understand (I have a folder name “Rachet” for example) in one big “Approved music folder. Any new music I get I put it in a “New Music” folder which is divided into party type stuff and background music type stuff. Then i can organize them into the approved folder if they make the cut. Having them in folders makes it easier for me to back up my music onto a different device like my tablet. I have Cross DJ on my tablet which has only so much space so i can bring specific crates (folders) if I need to and know what I’m getting into.

ParticipantThe mixtrack pro 2 is so popular that you could pretty much use it with any software so go nuts!

ParticipantA few things to note from my experience. There’s no one app that can do all of what you want. Star rating systems usually stay within the app, although i think Winamp has that feature which will sync with it’s desktop app counterpart. 40 GB is a LOT for a web based syncing service so you would have to pay for it. Box might still have free 50gb storage accounts but there were individual file size restrictions. Bit-torrent Sync may be the best for your situation but i have not had the time to try it for myself yet. Since it is the same files any comments you add would/should sync.

Participantif it’s only one side thats doing it, it’s probably not software. It’s probably not recognizing when you’re touching it and nudging instead of scratching. Hardware defect maybe

ParticipantHaving extra features doesn’t hurt

ParticipantI think this and vintage’s idea would be good in the mobile dj realm. The dj could have a little sign with the url or QR code and savvy people could provide input.
