Not sure if I do have input/output the right way round :/ I’ll use ‘female’ and ‘male’ so I don’t stuff up.
The problem with that cord is that it has a male 3.5mm jack and the speakers I am trying to connect the controller to already has a 3.5mm jack.

This might work with the mini speakers going in one end and the other ends plugging into the controller, but I don’t know with all the connections if it will work.
