ParticipantI use the Allen & Heath Xone XD-40 as my backup.
69€ here in Germany, should be fine.
They are loud, have a great sound but only 40mm driver – not so much bass and they isolate not so good (too loose even on small heads), and they have a built-in cable (coiled).
If you need headphones for your bedroom, small clubs & bars, they will do it. If you need a good isolation, really heavy bass and other things, its time to double the budget and get something like sennheiser HD-25.
P.S. You should hear/test the headphones if possible. My shop here has 30 days moneyback service, so i had enough time to test them.

ParticipantIf you already have a mixer with more than 2 channels, you can use it to connect your CDJs and your mate (controller DJs usually need only 1 channel) and connect this mixer to the PA. You dont need a small mixer if you have enough inputs.

ParticipantThis should be pretty much anything that you need to know.
You can also do it the oldschool way and grab the booth out and record it.
It depends on your setup.
If you play vinyl, the simply way is to record the booth out.
If you use DVS (traktor scratch) – record internal.
I dont know if the Z2 has a USB recording option, my controller has it – it shows in windows as an input device (outside of the DJ software) if switched on.

ParticipantIt was strange.. a cheap controller, Hercules.. It was a gift, so i gave it a try.
3/10 – it was working, but more like a toy, far away from professional gear.
After 1 week it was better, i get used to it and could do some nice stuff, got it working with Traktor Pro.
But i decided to sell it and get something bigger, with more functions and with a better quality.
And the Numark N4 was my choice, even took a 100km ride to the next shop (it was just released and not avaliable in the town). The amazing feeling to have a nice unit sitting in the box right next to you and waiting for the unboxing and the first track playing…. Its still working fine and from the first day it felt right (its still a plastic toy, nowhere near to the materials and quality of a real mixer like Ecler Nuo or Rane), i had no problems so set this up with all possible software (VDJ LE, Serato Intro, Traktor Pro) and just go and spin some music. Even had a gig 2 days after i got it, so i had time to test the stability, but dont get used to the controller.
I had some radio expirience before i got it, so i knew what to do, how to set anything up and all the basic functions.
I still use it without any problems, it survived way more than i expected (and it looks like it take a good beating) and the integrated mixer with XLR master output already saved me & other DJs more than once.
So my second controller was 6/10 with the original software and 9/10 with Traktor Pro.
