If you click on the “explicit” version sometimes there’s a tab under the album cover to the left that allows you to switch between radio/edited versions and the explicit ones. In most cases when you search for a song clean versions are beside the explicit ones so you have to look closely. When viewing album covers a “C” or “E” will be under the picture.

I just realized something. I read where the EV ELX series are not dependable for outdoor use, but does anyone know if this is just specific to leaving them out in the sun or if they overheat standing under an outdoor tent during the summer where temps can get up to 100 degrees?

I just wanted to give a quick update about Traktor 2.6 for anyone that was having similar issues with Traktor 2.5.

As promised, I did the update around Christmas and was able to do a small gig with family and friends that Saturday. Since upgrading, I found that NietzSKY’s and Kent’s experiences were spot on. Traktor 2.6 is now almost perfect (*knocking on wood*) with its beatgrid detection and clicking “Auto” helps those times Traktor 2.6 may be off some. It looks like Traktor 2.6 is going to spoil me rotten now where Traktor 2.5 forced me to either manually fix the beat grids on the fly or forced me to beatmatch…LOL.

Ha ha! The only club I know 99% of the time DJ’s talk to the crowd is at gentlemen’s clubs…LOL. They usually give you the intro and what it takes to get the dancers loose.

I usually only play the flying battles but i started trying out the other battles and you need to do micro transactions in order to get the best stuff.

I now just stick with Black Ops 2 its my goto game when my trigger finger is itchy and ive had enough time on the decks

Sometime around Thanksgiving, I put BLOPS 2 up for adoption so I’m sure it’s found a new home by now. I did manage to stick with MW3 for a few months, but it went back to the store for a trade in eventually. I could only stand to play BLOPS 2 for 3 weeks before I took it back to Gamestop and purchased an iTunes card to buy more music. LOL

I know MW2 had it’s moments with the constant noob toobing, lag, hacking and head glitches, but MW3, BLOPS1 (not so much) and BLOPS2 took lag and head glitching to a new level!!! Instead of wasting time and bursting my blood vessels playing those games I know channel that energy towards finding songs that mix well with each other and the like.

BTW, as for the lag I did try all the tricks of the trade to get the game to function with minimum lag, but none of the tricks worked. The game was simply unplayable for me and a few of my friends. Even my former Warhawk buddies were complaining about the lag, but they’re still playing BLOPS 2 LOL

I’ve seen parties where the DJ never spoke to the crowd, but he had a buddy on board speaking to the crowd. This is a an interesting topic because I’ve seen it mixed both ways and the parties were still good.

One thing I hate is that tin can effect where the highs are distorted. It’s as if the DJ’s don’t have a clue that their system is hurting everyone’s doggone ears.

Back in 2000s i was huge into Counterstrike, even went competitive and won a few tournaments and was in a semi-pro CS league LOL yup i am that NERDY!

Now I just play on my PS3, MW3, BOps 2, BF3…Love my FPS games 😀

Goldfingers check out Starhawk….its freakin crazy how intense the multiplayer is…but usually sucks since it is team based and its rare you get on a good team.

I’m going to ask my buddies (former Warhawk clan) why they all stopped playing Starhawk…LOL. I swear they played the game for a couple of weeks and quit.

I too started with pong… then progressed to Atari 2600, NES, Super NES, PS1, PS2, PS3. Big fan of the PS2 Hitman Series. Also the Ace Combat Series.

Coltrane you should come back to Warhawk. Anytime I log on day or night, there are dozens of servers of players blasting away at each other.

LMAO @ folks still playing Warhawk. I think my Warhawk buddies gave Starhawk a go when it first came out, but that didn’t last too long. They’re all playing Black Ops 2 and other games. Every now and then I’ll jump on Battlefield 2 (don’t care for BF3 any more) and play 10 minutes.

The only thing about coming back to Warhawk is that the planes own the game, and it’s been a while since I played that game and was a force in the air. Never became an Ace with flying backwards…lol.

As well i would reccomend getting another Subwoofer…even if u have to rent for a 175 person venue.

I always go with for every sub have 1 loudspeaker

    so 2 speakers 2 subs…8 speakers 8 subs

    Hee,

I see so many set ups with 2 tops and 1 subs in rooms with a capacity of about 150-200 and the sound is pretty good. Is it overkill to add another sub in those instances or would you err of caution and still use a second sub (2 tops + 2 subs)? Better to have more than not have enough?

DJ Sneakman, post: 34566, member: 7007 wrote: My question is: What speakers can i use that are portable while still retaining “DJ” quality?

The only thing I can think of is to try and find a good set of used powered PA speakers for a good price. Other than getting quality PA speakers, NietzSky’s suggestion of using the Ion Block Rocker may be a winner.

As for pulling in cash I would recommend doing odd jobs here and there since your school schedule or curriculum doesn’t allow extra hours. Your main goal is to get your education so take advantage of it while you’re still young. Trust me when I say having an education is essential to life. DJ’ing will always be here for you.

Perhaps there are some courses about music theory or classical, jazz, etc. you may be able to take? That’s something else to look into because you just never know how music from another time period, so to speak, can influence the way you’re able to hear melodies and be creative with a DJ controller, turntable, or in front of a mixing board.

I would only recommend using the Logitech system for practicing at home.
