Every other button/action works and when I hit the play button I see the controll light illuminate to confirm signal!! Really strange and hopefully something very simple to put right but I am a novice in this area I so would appreciate any help.
Ps. If I select deck b with it that starts and pauses etc so I know the button defiantly works!

    Thanks

Just curious. Does this happen each time you power up the SC2000 and Traktor? And it never happened before until now? If it just started happening is there anything different you’ve done in Traktor? As Chuck pointed out, are you using the correct mapping?

I’m a firm VDJ user since i do mobile work so it would have to be one i wouldn’t have to do a crazy amount of mapping (preferably none). I was looking at the DJTECH dragon 2 but i can’t find the size dimensions anywhere. I’m not looking for something in the ‘pro’ range. Thanks 😀

+1 for either Denon MC3000 (2 Channel) or Denon MC6000 (4 Channel). I currently own the MC6000 and love it.

Joe, check the FAQ section, #3. http://www.directmusicservice.com/faq – the way I understood…40 different tracks per month. You can only download one particular song once a month.

    BTW, good question.

I will be doing a baby shower in two weeks. Just providing background music and will try to get the ladies to dance just a little bit without having the mother-to-be wobble the kid out too early.

I’m sorry to rehash this, but I am really stuck in sour mode with Traktor’s Cruise Mode function. This past weekend I had a gig where I did not use Traktor’s cruise mode because I was afraid that my system would throw out a high decibel when going from cruise mode to live (similar to the first time it happened; so embarrassing).

So the entire time I stood up fading in and out dinner music (jazz tunes). Now, granted I could have disclosed what I had to do with my partner and I did close to the time dinner/cocktail hour was over, but I shouldn’t have to worry about my software scaring the guests because the developers thought it was a good idea to use the main volume knob to control the volume when using cruise mode as oppose to continuing to use the faders.

Cool! Yeah, I saw that email from Guitar Center about how to pick out monitors or something. I should’ve went yesterday and quizzed the instructor about why I experienced heating issues with the Mackie MR8’s and if I would experience the same if I went with the Yahama HS8’s.

Oh ok. On average it takes about 5 minutes for the consistency check to run, but it seems like forever at a gig. At least I know it’s not anything that needs to be done every time I open Traktor. Thanks, guys!

Update: Quick Tip just in case: When recording in Traktor using the Denon MC6000 the FADERS control the volume of the recording output also. So, if you set the recording gain at +6.0 dB you still have to set the fader all the way to the top. I used to DJ live using the faders with the “Enabler” checked in Traktor, but now I use the Denon mixer itself and do not go pass 0 dB with the “Enabler” unchecked in Traktor.

In other words, the Master Volume on the Denon MC6000 control the loudness of what you’re hearing when both recording and using Cruise Mode. However, the faders are the key, in addition to the recording gain, to controlling the loudness of the music file once you’re done with the mix.

I think I explained it right.

Do you live near a pro audio store? I’m sure someone there wouldn’t mind showing you how to properly set up your gear. It will just take a little initiation of taking your gear to the store and being courteous on your part for someone to take you serious enough to spend time with you.

I would also recommend finding Youtube videos centered around how to hook up the “Mixtrack Pro to PA Speakers”. There should be quite a few videos available. The other recommendation I have is to purchase the “How To Digital DJ Fast” on this site.

Guitar Centers usually have a way for you to plug in your own iPod, iPhone or MP3 device into a mixer to test out monitors, PA speakers, etc. In most cases, the people in the Pro Audio section will plug in their own smart phone in case you do not have your own device.

Don’t feel badly asking them to help you. However, I would ask them to explain and show you what the eq settings are on the back of the monitors (or PA speakers) so you can get a better idea when A & B’ing the products.
