ParticipantYeah, but they are some REALLY awesome remixes. *sigh*
But, yeah, they feel pretty lame.

ParticipantA related question – what about remixes that have namedrops in them? That feels a little lame to play to me, but some of them are really good remixes. Is it even lamer to edit the drops out?

ParticipantEven more than 3% of speed difference with keylock on will be recognizable as fast, but not necessarily sound bad.

ParticipantTuomari – How much does it cost you to work with your booking agency up there? Do you pay a recurring fee, or a percentage?

ParticipantI think my favorite artist in the style I usually play is Slynk, followed by Warp9, but yeah, WBBL is also very good.
I’ve just finished uploading the Friday Flavourites set for last night. This week I started to expand the styles I’m playing, added in some swing to the funk… hope you enjoy it!

ParticipantI’m very budget oriented, I do not have a lot of money to spend on gear. The 201s are working pretty nicely in my own production work. I can’t attest to their longevity, I’ve only had mine for a few months. I understand they’re not super tough, so I tend to be gentle with mine.

ParticipantOh, and they pretty comfortably fit over my ears and have decent sound isolation.

ParticipantYeah, the Sennheiser 201s are an absolutely great pair of headphones for such a low price, I was stunned. I paid 25 euro for my pair. I’ve bought a lot of 25 dollar headphones over the years, but this is the only pair where I felt they actually sounded good.
They have a slight swivel to them, so you can have one ear on and one off – not as nicely as the expensive fancy headphones, but it still does what I need with that regard.
The cable itself is nice and long. It is a straight cable and not a spiral cable, which does mean they tend to get a little kinky, but that’s really the only thing I can thing of to criticize them on – and a spiral cable would add considerably to the cost.

ParticipantVery useful, thanks! Even still semi-related to my main genre.

ParticipantGenerally speaking, DJing is a very disk intensive task so a lot of the time, you will find your disk is going to be a bigger bottleneck than your CPU. I would definitely think that an SSD is going to give you more bang for your buck than the difference between the CPUs you are picking between. The CPU you were already looking at is plenty decent enough.
