Participanthey djrizki,
pleasure to e-meet ya!
I’ve put together tours for…DJ Premier, DJ Lord of Public Enemy, Andy Smith, DJ Cash Money, Kenny Dope and many one-offs for other hip-hop DJs like Shiftee, JS 1, and tried for those EDM guys LMFAO (yet, this was before they were big). Some other acts were De La Soul, Talib Kweli, Razhel. I don’t recall working with anyone in Jakarta right off hand.
My husband does bookings on the side and works with many promoters in JKT on a weekly basis. I kinda stay out of his biz tho. He just lets me know when there’s an act he knows I really dig coming through Asia…then I get upset because no one in Singapore will book them, but I know JKT & KL usually pick up on them…then i get upset even more when they are so close and I can’t leave to go see the show!

Participantanother reason why I love CD giveaways….
You never know whose hands they end up in, they might just get you more gigs.
Casie Lane
ParticipantYeah, they are just being jerks.
Try shazam 😛

ParticipantI agree with Terry…do something that is YOU and resonates with YOU. If you aren’t really into it, an audience or crowd won’t be either.
you can’t fake enjoyment…
and that really what entertainment is about

ParticipantHi Brandon,
I would say to research as much as you can about the clubs online, interact with them on twitter, fB, etc. and grow the balls to give them a call and ask for the manager or music director. Touch base vocally, then send your info via email. That way they can connect, oh yeah, that guy Brandon…I talked to him.
If you send unsolicited mail…it will most likely get deleted.
