MemberMind giving us a tracklist?
at around 6 minutes remember to bring the bass up of the upcoming track because sometimes it can make your songs sound a little weird
at around 8 minutes. Shouldnt have taken the song out and then brought it back in because you kinda took out the build up with your cutting. Remember cutting can sound really cool sometimes but sometimes it doesnt work especially if done in the wrong place. Seems like you were doing it with the intro of another song.
the transition right after 9 minutes was really rough since you just pressed play on the other deck and then took out Levels with the filter.
Also you sampled the vocals from levels alot seemed like. Hearing the same sample over and over again can get old and the loop on the sample was really closed so it makes it sound kinda strange and doesnt always fit in with the vocals
Also scratching shouldnt really be done over EDM tracks like that
At the very end, again watch out with the cuttingLike that you took a video, keep practicing 😉

MemberNext time if youre gonna do a transition like that use the instrumental, because then it wouldve been a great transitions i think

Membergotta watch the vocals clashing over eachother, shouldve done something like bring it in once the vocals were over
Everything else was awesome, both tracklist and transitions. And loved the “like original Four Loko Crazy” lmaoDecember 6, 2011 at 6:20 pm in reply to: Walking On Levels (Avicii vs. Empire of the Sun) (Mashup) #1002329Carlos Vara

MemberI liked the tracklist, any chance you could post it? (sorry to bother you about this again but I recognize some of the tracks but can’t remember the names/artists)
You definitely have to explore other ways of making transitions (instead of doing basic intro – outro mixing try doing things like starting the transition from one song to the other before the breakdown of the first track and time it so that when break down on track A is coming up the breakdown of track B is coming at the same time…or as mentioned on the comment on your soundcloud link one build up into another)
Remember playing some tracks to long can make the mix lose its energy (in 30 mins you played 6 tracks, it should be some where around 10) but also remember that playing a track not long enough is bad either (as in you dont want to be playing a track for a minute and a half) — I think the best time most of the time to make a transition is when you feel the song is losing its energy. So sometimes you might have a track that you play for almost 4 mins, and sometimes youll have one that you play for only 2 minutes.
Also the songs that you use flow well together (as in they sound good together), but would be better if you tried mixing it differently
Hope this helps and remember practice makes perfect 😉 so keep on practicing and keep up the good work
