    I’ve been off and on around the Philly Suburbs for 25+ years , got back into it to book gig’s for my two up and comming sons. They work the deleware valley – tri state area(PA NJ De). I do triva in Jenkintown weekly and give mostly the mobile stuff to the boys. Lot of dj’s aging out in our area!

    Every beginner DJ in the worst clubs gets at least some minimal amount of money, NEVER play for free.
    I concure, you don’t need that type of exposure!

    NEVER play for free! or you will be the FREE Dj everyone goes to for charity, We get 50% when a charity calls, here in the states they wil get a kid with an IPod in the back of some boom box, before the pay a professional? not like the beer and food comes for free or the hall they rent!

    Your putting the cart before the horse, your peers will “give” you your Dj name. But you need to get out, everywhere you can, and see what’s up and introduce yourself(not your persona). The bedroom is FOR SLEEP! Dj’s move into the Living room at my house. (I have a ns-7 , studio Mon.’s, Kaosilater Pro and Computer sitting on the coffee table, (kids set-up)
