I use FL 10, but is time consuming as you have to cut and stretch sections of the song (I do every 8 beats) . If it is just a few song is ok.

They sound great (of course), are relatively small and light, can be configured in several ways (small headband, wide headband, swivel left earpiece) and they can take abuse like nothing else! My set has travelled in my microphone case for the last three or four years, literally squashed between the top of the microphones and the foam on the inside of the lid. Never a problem.
You can buy every component as a replacement part, choose a coil or straight cable and I actually believe they have them with colors now too (but don’t pin me down on that one).

Read up on them, then try them on in a store.

I wanted to know what headphones are the best overall for all basic DJ headphone needs but also comfortable for long dj sets in terms of pressure on the head, not pinching your ears too much, and possibly comfy around the neck all while being a reasonable price too if something like this exists? Feedback is very appreciated! Thanks!

This is the only piece of equipment that you need to find yourself. I’ll explain, your head and ears sizes, shape and form are unique to you and only you. What’s comfortable for me may not be for you.

You need to try different options personally if possible for a few days.

My personal are V-Moda Lp, Westone in-ear as back up and Tank headphone as back up for the back up LOL (got those free when I bought the TM4) so no complain here.

I downloaded a bunch of Remix sets from NI website and in Traktor I’ve set Decks C/D as remix decks. But it just occurred to me, I only have one F1 so does it only control one deck? Im watching YouTube videos to learn but havent picked up on this bit yet.

Cant wait to get off work!
    Thanks

You can control all 4 remix decks with one F1, but only one at a time. To switch decks press shift and turn the rotary knob.

I agree with you in all you said except the above.

What make “pro grade gears” , brand, style, size? I used to do clubs with a DN MC6000 with two SC2000 and Traktor,
when i went back to do mobile (after more than 10 years) I switch to Serato and a NS6 because of the beatgrid ( I do a lot of latin weddings here, you know salsa, merengue and all those).

A few month back I tried a few controller including the DDJ Sx and decide for the TMX4. So far no problems at all but know a few DJ’s that bought the Pio and all they have are headaches with it.

The guy that used to spin in the lounge area of the club have a mixtrak pro.

So, What is a pro grade for you and how you will control quality ?

Or you loop 1 or 2 bars and raise the bpm to 140, keep in mind that for every 8-9 bpm raised you will go up half a note.

[quote=” I am 100% certain I can do everything ANY controller can do with my two SC2900s and X1600 mixer (the mixer alone gives me 16 rotary and 16 press buttons for midi control of ANYTHING I like to map it too and that is on top of being able to switch all channel controls between midi and analogue.

now cdj’s and mixers are catching up and becoming “controllers”.

There’s no difference beside of sizes and price. Some controller do play cd’s.
BUT you can do more with a controller even that now cdj’s and mixers are catching up and becoming “controllers”.

Your never too old or young to do gigs (depend on the Country Laws). I was 15 for my first.
About getting gigs, you’re going to have all kind of response here, the best way is to promote yourself.

Personally I can’t stand the term and for me it represents the following genres, which coincide with the genres that ‘went big’ in the US: Electro House, Dubstep (sorry I mean, Brostep – far removed from the origins of Dubstep) and mainstream, TOP40 Dance Music.

Sorry my friend but Electronic Dance Music term have been used here in the USA since the 80’s

So traktor pretty much ruins it for yo while a cdj simply gives you the minimal information you need.

    artist
    song name
    BPM
    tempo %
    waveform small or BIG
    time
    track #
    cue
    point loops
    and more…
    oh even art work
In traktor you can remove the beatgrid line if you want to
and if you don’t want to see the info.,

Not seen this video yet, contrary to house music EDM is not a genre. House music evolve from the disco era.
EDM was the term giving to electronic music produce for club that includes disco, house, techno and so on.
EDM now = house, techno, dupstep, trance and all those genres and sub genres and “anything somebody call music now a day” LOL.
