ParticipantThe reason I’m asking, is because I’m finally getting some olde fashioned turntables, which I’ve wanted for a while.
I use Serato DJ with a DDJ WeGO currently, and while Scratch Live and DJ share a library and all of that, I don’t have the money or desire to get a RANE/serato interface.
I want to, if possible, use a vinyl timecode to core MIDI that I could use as an additional Serato control. (not for the track, but for FX among other things.) The big reason I want timecode to MIDI is that it would let me use the vinyl to control Logic Pro 9 (can’t afford that Version X yet) and Reason with this giant 12 inch dial. (I plan on using this for some mathematical based sound engineering involving the vinyl spin rate and external forces using geometry and physics.)
Does anybody have any luck taking a timecode vinyl for Traktor or Serato or some other program and using it as core MIDI?Andrew Batz
ParticipantHere’s the point. I have a WeGO on Serato DJ (paid for the upgrade). My controller has no buttons for loops, and can only be on 2 decks at a time. The app is like a controller extension. It allows me to hit loops and cues from any of my decks wirelessly or via USB for low latency (or for crappy wifi connections).
Personally, getting it later.Andrew Batz

iTunes has a powerful ID3 editor, and both iTunes and Virtual DJ save their playlists as .m4u which can be read by either.
The long end game would look kind of similar to this:

This is really a heavily applied filemaker question/serato question.
though, in theory a .m4u could be converted to a .csv which could be converted to a .xlsx and finally to a filemaker database….
Thanks for the help though đŸ™‚

Participantas for ticket sellers, I am enlisting all of my close friends/classmates. they buy the tickets for 15, and can resell as they see fit with a recommended price of around 17-20 (that way There will be less people asking for free tickets)

Participantthankyou all.
its (supposed to be at least) about 2-500 people
there will be a few securities, and amazing call on office and change, that had never entered my mind.
the realtor is recommending around 20,000 feet for the warehouse, is this excessive, or reasonable?
there is going to be around 2-5 djs for the night, and a couple bands are trying to see if we can mix them in. (I’m thinking that only one will make it)
for an all night party, we were thinking that $15 a wristband for pre buying and depending on how that goes, up to 25 at the door.
The reason that I chose a warehouse is because the local laws allow noise above a certain level at night only in dense industrial and dense commercial zones (which all the warehouses with enough space are zoned as)
the realtor said that the space should come out to be around 1000,
and I know the security people Im thinking of hiring, and they are willing to go for cheap (good because the tickets are cheap)
as for renting lights and speakers and such, is that where most of the money is going to go? -
