Hey Josh! Believe me I can understand your frustration!!!

As your need of help for NI Traktor I can’t help you cause of the fact that as little as I used it, it left me with the worst impressions so my subconscious push the memories of setting my controllers out of my brain 🙂 The worst GUI ever!!!
And even though I’m a Serato Dj user now I still remember a couple of things about Virtual Dj (I started using it back when it was Atomix Mp3 in 1997 or 1998 if I’m not mistaken.
    So about your setup…

1st check the connection from your Gemini controller to your 2.1 speakers! You are using a mini stereo jack to Stereo RCA Y cable, Yes? It seems to me at one of your pictures that the male mini jack needs to be pushed all the way in to the female on the Y cable but even so you should be able to listen to one of your 2 satellite speakers playing out some music!!! But give it a try anyway. Maybe even try to connect your speakers to another source just to check that the Y cable isn’t broken. A TV set or a DVD player a game console anything with AUDIO OUT RCA plugs!

2nd Your VDJ settings as it shows on your last picture are wrong! I think is version 7 you are using yes?
So go on Settings → Sound Setup and on the “Inputs” field you can choose 1 LINE if you want since you have an aux line input on your controller. On the “Outputs” field you choose (If I’m not mistaken) HEADPHONES where it shows A set of headphones and a speaker and next to the field it should apear a line with “Master : Chan 1&2 / Headphones : Chan 3&4”. And finally on the “Sound card” Field you should choose your controller by clicking the arrow on the right.
Now if you don’t see your controller in there that means that Gemini, unlike other brands that customize their ASIO Driver, gives a generic one so you choose the ASIO Driver again and you click on the “ASIO Config” button. Somewhere in the GUI of it you find the setting for the master channels and the headphone channels. They should read “Master : Chan 1&2 / Headphones : Chan 3&4” if not then change them accordingly. There is also another option in there witch tells your controller/ASIO Driver if its going to decode WDM windows audio or ASIO Something…. My memory isn’t so clear on that unfortunately, but sourly you need to choose the ASIO Something ( Please don’t laugh )
    This should fix it !!!

Another option for you is to download “ASIO4ALL” which is a Universal ASIO Driver Install it and try to choose that in VDJ sound settings to find out if something went wrong with the Gemini Driver setup.
Or download a program called MIDI-OX and check that your controller sends midi signals to your PC or MAC when you turn the knobs or jogs or everything on it.

    Hope this Helped.

P.S. Sorry for the CAPS I’m not in anyway shouting it’s just that everything in caps is written this way on the hardware and in the software as well. I tried to make it easier.
