ParticipantYou are saying you want ease of use, which would definitely be the S4. However, to be honest, your style sounds like it leans heavily in the controllerist direction. If so, you may want to demo the VCI-400 (if you haven’t already). It means getting into some MIDI mapping, but it it billed as a controllerist’s 4 deck controller

ParticipantIgnore that, i stopped being lazy and looked it up. It said it was about $30/hour

ParticipantNot to be rude, but how much is that in American? Sorry for being a total yank right now

Just tried it in Ableton Intro. Yeah, it routes through the headphones

Here’s the article showing how to sync Ableton to Traktor (thanks to DJ Endo for creating it)

ParticipantThats a pretty awesome logo. I wanted something something similar to the Zune Logo, and it kinda ended up here at the present moment

ParticipantI don’t honestly know, but I can tell you this. I am practicing using Ableton as a loop sampler while having it MIDI synced to Traktor, and basically the sound flows something like this
Traktor > Ableton > Soundcard (I use a NI Audio 2 right now, about to upgrade) > 20 band Analogue EQ > Speakers
So maybe you could do a MIDI sync as well and just run all sound out of your S4
Alex Wray
ParticipantYeah, if you dont already have one
Alex Wray
Participantand no, neither has a built in sound card

ParticipantPush or Maschine?

ParticipantEither way you go, best of luck!

Sorry if it got long winded, but it looks like you basically could build a track in Maschine and just do the final touches in a DAW.
