    Thanks anyways Phil. I never was able to get that VDJ recording issue resolved. It had something to deal with the VDJ configurations. Because, when I used my sound recorder it picked up just fine but VDJ had a problem. In either case, audacity works perfect. Just need to get this new laptop issue squared away. Maybe guitar center has some ideas I was going to give them a call and see what tricks they had for me. This is a pretty common issue for numark and windows 7 and vista users. It may be worth having some guys investigate. Thx again. If you find something out, let me know.

    It sounds like I need an external soundcard. But I have a line in port on my desktop. And I check my volume settings for the sigmaTel soundcard. And they are fine. Device drivers are fine. But no sound in my live recordings.

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

    I ended up playing with the config settings some more after deleting and reinstalling the mixdeck drivers. I also downloaded the asio4all driver because inside my sound and audio properties under the hardware and drivers tabs, I noticed that the wdm is not digitally signed. So I thought that would matter but it still hasn’t done much.I also changed my audio properties of sound playback/recording and midi playback to the mixdeck.

    Any other ideas. My drivers are up to date. But I’m still not able to get nothing to play on those other config settings inside vdj. In fact, once they are changed and the program closed out. I get the error message whenever I restart the program and it crashes. I have to open it like three times for it to open on those settings.
