I don’t get any error or message. As i just told, i don’t like what the buttons does. I want to know how to change it’s mapping so that when a “headphone cue” button is ON, that deck must NOT play in the master (only in the monitor).

The above statement is not happening in my software, because: Play A (we have master, we don’t have monitor) , then press the headphones cue button on deck A (pre listening / PFL) and once it’s pressed we have monitor BUT we also have it on the master.

I want the headphones cue button to behave like this: Once it has been pressed for a deck, that deck will not give any sound to the master, only to monitor. I want the PFL to forbid master.

Have i tried to click the buttons that look like headphones on and off ? Of course, i just named them preview in my other post (PFL, monitor cue button).

Looks like the PFL button has no action whatsoever on the Master output. On the monitor output it works, master no; On the master it’s like that button doesn’t do nothing. Is this normal ?

I want to know, DO I have a problem? OR this is just like everyone is DJing and i’m just asking for a hack because i don’t want to be moving the crossfader just for a short cue.

I’ve got some questions about Traktor Pro 2. I’m using an internal sound card + usb sound card / all activated in ASIO4ALL 2.1 .

The sound card that is set to be the monitor (i’ve tried both), works great with no problems.
    A Play = No sound / B Play = No sound
    A Preview, A Play = A Sound / B Preview, B Play = B Sound
    A Play, B Preview, B Play = B Sound / B Play, A Preview, A Play = A Sound
    You get it.

I don’t like how the master works. I don’t want to Crossfade to the deck A playing while i have B Preview, B Play. I want the software to know that when i have an A Preview or a B Preview exclude that sound from the master (which it doesn’t).
Examples, Crossfade always in the middle, no touch:
If you Play A and Play B it’s obvious the public will hear both.
And here is the example which makes me frustrated:
If you Play A, Press preview B Deck then Play B it’s exactly the same thing, public will hear both ! And i mean, WHY ? I pressed preview once already. Why it has to do like the example shown before ? Because it’s not the same thing ! I want the software to recognize that when a deck has PFL on (Preview, Headphones Cue) ONLY send it to the monitor sound card.

Everything is right, Cue mix minimum, Cue level maximum. Audio interface set to ASIO4ALL and in the program both sound cards set to active. I’ve changed between them, same result, change software, same result.

Is it normal, all DJ’s are working with the crossfade to preview ? Cand I add the monitor cue button in the control management of Traktor to change it’s settings? I Don’t know how to set it.

Is the only solution moving the Crossfader to the deck already playing ?

Very original, our local authorities do something similar every year. It’s a demonstration of how well prepared the team is. You know, fire fighters day, police day, army day.. it’s nice to see and the crowd gathers, kids love it, especially seeing their future workplace.

Armin van Buuren because he’s one of the fewest DJs and producer that makes my skin shiver and you can’t fake that !!! Thumbs up if your skin feels the same.

+1 for the Numark Mixtrack. I advice a separate sound card but that depends on the price of it. In my country a Numark Mixtrack + Numark DJ|iO is just above the price of a Numark Mixtrack Pro (about 25 Euros more) and i think it’s worth it.

With so many posts confirming the Numark reliability i guess we should put this post in front of the others so that every new DJ should see this important thread. Long live Numark 🙂

Looks like the most votes went to “Other” and that means that you probably miss something, maybe Rugby union 😉

I am using it to manage my collection. As i learned, i knew that i had to mix in key, so MIK was obviously the software to go with but i don’t have the money to buy it so i tried RE 2. It was kind of slow on my old PC and as now i got a new one, i’m running RE3 Beta (Beta 58 i guess).
I personally think it’s pretty good library management software in conjunction with a DJ software like VDJ or Traktor. Use RE3 to know what to play, what is compatible and play it through DJ software.

P.S: Almost all key detection software are inaccurate by over 30%, even Mixed In Key. I saw tests made but you believe what you want, what you see.

Sorry for my bad English, non-native speaker here
