Pool party, or any party that hasn’t warmed up yet.

I don’t know about the S2 (I assume it’s the same sound card as the S4), but the DJM-900 nexus sound card sounds so much better than the sound card on the S4. If the club has one of these, then plug directly into it for the better quality sound.

What part? I live in NYC now but grew up in Ocean County, I sometimes accidently fistpump to songs at raves.

My g/f says the same thing when a DJ doesn’t let the vocals finish on her favorite girly tracks.

He never beatmatched or mixed, just slid things in at the right time…much like I’d see older disco DJs do. The crowd loved him.

Goes to show how much song selection/programming matters. Look at how Larry Levan spun at the Paradise Garage, or old recordings of Pickering, Park, and De Salva at the Haciencda.

There was a quote in the book “How to DJ Right” about how before there was beat matching it was the guy who could leave the least amount of time between tracks was the hottest DJ.

I’ve seen this done a lot at Burning Man, and Skrillex uses it for his live sets with the Mothership tour.

There isn’t a way that I know of to stop bass from traveling through wall without spending a fortune. So my only solution would be for you to start respecting your brothers right to quiet, and get yourself a good pair of headphones.

I always see people at Porsche events towing their 911s on trailers with Porsche Cayannes. 🙂

Sweet thanks for the info! Wonder why everything is on backorder then, maybe just a production SNAFU or something?

as for the release date I’m gonna assume the Fall cuz thats when the new 1500s are suppose to be released.

The HDJ-1500s are already released, and CDJ-900/2000s are on back order at almost every Pioneer Authorized dealer. I think they are going to be out a lot sooner than fall.

    So really 900 and 2000 Mk2s.

They were suppose to be released in April 2012 from what i heard i havent seen anything about them actually available. Im assuming they are going to be tying in the Release of the HDJ-1500s with the new Nexus series of CDJs.

So it looks like I chose the absolute worst time to finally order my CDJs haha, oh well no regrets.

So I might be mistaken, but between the fact that Pioneer CDJs seem to be on back order at every authorized dealer in the US, and Traktor 2.5 is coming out in a week, and it being 3 years since Pioneer released a new CDJ, I’m pretty sure they are releasing a new model CDJ in the next week or two.

I’d rather hear 3 seconds of silence in between songs than a trainwrecked mix. I don’t see why any semi serious dj can’t just learn to do both, it’s not asking too much.
