I sent in an email to phil there so hopefully it gets fixed soon. If it’s not happening to anyone else it could just be my pc

Which is more important to you? Your software or hardware? If you can take any software then just choose a controller you like and follow the software. Like Vintage said, serato is still adding new features and FX Expansion packs to keep up with Traktor. Also depending on your style of DJing, one might be better that the other. If you plan on DJing lots of parties, serato is good because of it’s stability and there’s less that could go wrong. Serato is very popular with DJ’s in my area. Traktor is good if you are going to be doing lots of home mixing and remixing. I’ve seen DJ’s do great parties with traktor too though. Either way, after being with a software for a while, you’ll feel right at home with it. One bonus of traktor is you can have a modular setup though(Like having an S2 and adding a F1 for remix decks.) You can also disconnect the extras you don’t need at a gig too which is good. I’m currently using serato. Even serato intro is decent enough for your parties. If you take it or have taken it to gigs, then you can decide if you want to go to full version Serato DJ. I would stay away from the S8 for now because
    1. It just came out so price is high
    2. Mixtrack to S8 is a huge jump. Probably has too many unnecessary features
    3. No Jogwheels. Sometimes it’s good to have a couple scratches in your bag of tricks
    4. You could build a similar setup with traktor controllers like a couple of F1’s and Z1’s

Just some of my thoughts. Keep experimenting with them.

Interesting, I was just curious. Tried them all and know advantages/disadvantages of each so just wanted to see what the community likes to use.

Last two things I would try would be uninstall and reinstall serato. And updating the firmware from denon’s website http://denondj.com/products/view/mc6000mk2#.VS0uhBvn9j8 under downloads.

If none of those work, I would contact the seller you bought it from and tell them your problem and get them to send you a new one.

I don’t think serato usually should have an internet connection. But since it was just downloaded it may be trying to connect to register it or something

Oh, he also picked a fight with Porter Robinson and made fun of Martin Garrix. Nice guy isn’t he?

Hahaha! When Disclosure faked it, at least they had cables plugged in. But deadmau5 is the king of talking smack against other famous people. He dissed afrojack, Paris Hilton(who wouldn’t), Armin Van Buren, and of course Bieber. Not suprised to see another added to the list.

Try a different USB cable. If yours is damaged, maybe it’s not connecting right. Also when I bought my MC2000, I had to install my ASIO drivers for it. This is only if you are on a windows computer. The ASIO is on denon’s website here http://b06ba727c886717f9577-fff53f927840131da4fecbedd819996a.r74.cf2.rackcdn.com//1143/documents/DENON_DJ_ASIO_for_DJ_Controller.zip

Or go to Denon DJ’s website>Controllers>MC6000Mk2 and you can find the ASIO on the right side.

Hope this helps. Once you get it running, let me know how it is. I’m thinking about buying one later this year

Also, your product key for serato DJ might not be working so it won’t interact with your controller. If that’s the case, then contact serato.

If you have an iTunes library you can organize your music with that and it would be convenient because serato integrates with your itunes, and iTunes works wonderfully on mac.

I’m getting redirected to all of these websites. They aren’t spam sites, but they’re places to buy stuff. For example it took me to zzounds.com with a page of the DDJ-SX it’s like these ads except it takes you there instead of where you want to go. I think it could be XSS(cross site scripting) Which makes you’re links take you to another webpage. I think this is usually on web pages written in PHP programming language because it’s easy to hack. It also could be a web browser extension that installed itself. I’m not sure which web browser you guys like but I’m using chrome. I looked it up and chrome extensions can keep coming back if they’re installed on you’re computer. I have to go to my files and delete any chrome extensions. I also got spam mail from DDT but one or two of them could’ve been wrongly categorized.

I manually cleaned up my library in serato, but not in windows. I’ll probably try this or link up my apple ID with iTunes and load all my metadata in there because of serato integration and album art gives you something pleasant to look at.

I’d say take it easy on your mixing till you get to the peak of the night. That way you can still be professional but don’t wear yourself out. Just fade in between tracks for a while and then kick it into a higher gear when its time to jam

I think anything works. Really. Maybe every couple months. We could go by age or not as long as no experienced veterans drop into the little league. Either way i think it sounds like a ton of fun! I say the main thing is have a recommended time for each set and divide it by either age groups or genres! Keep me posted!

Sounds LEGIT! Where should we send them in though. To Phil? Also will we have different genres and guidelines. I’m down for some EDM mixing or trap. Anything sounds fun. Looks like i Got here late
