Hi, my name is Luke, and I live in California, US. I am 20 years old and have been interested in DJing for many years now, but I am just now deciding to go for it.
I have some musical background. I played the piano from the age of 5 to 15 but stopped practicing around that time. But even for the amount of time I put in I?d say I?m probably a beginner level when it comes to music (I?ve forgotten a lot) and even more so a noob when it comes to DJing. My goal is to have fun DJing and not worry about comparing myself to others. Perhaps if I do well and learn to DJ half decently I will even think about getting actual gigs.
My fears have held me back for a long time. I feel that over the past many years I have hid and stifled my creativity for various reasons and am now scared to try anything creative for fear that I will not be good enough. I am scared of failure and giving up. I am sick of it and want to face it head on. And I want to do it through learning how to DJ. I cant wait until I can share the music I love and my creative ideas with the world!
