Just to let you know, I did suggest the option of a ‘very late night’ slot, and was offered 3-4am. Though I had doubts that would work either (97% of my potential audience would likely be in bed by then!), I held back for a couple of days while I considered. And that paid off… someone else cancelled and I’ve been offered 8pm, which is much better. I’ll just swap a few bits out for disco versions etc.
The thing that I think helped in this situation was that I tried to remain polite and helpful-sounding to the organisers. They had a tough job and I if I’d have ‘diva’d’ out I wouldn’t have been in the running for the lineup swap. Stay nice, people 🙂 x
