    Just a quick update!

What I ended up doing was to create a seperate email for my DJ persona, and use that email to sign in at DDJT (here) and register that same email at Gravatar (https://en.gravatar.com/). That way I have full control over which avatar I want to be seen for my DJ persona, without it affecting any of my other accounts.

    Cheers,
    Bergy

    Thanks for your input Terry!

I’m using a PC, and from what I was able find out, I should (theoretically) be able to use B.U.T.T. to connect. I’m not 100% convinced about Radionomy myself, but the radio station that I want to DJ for happens to use that particular service. Unfortunately they only have experience connecting with SAM and VDJ. Hence, me hoping that someone here had already done it (connecting Serato to Radionomy) and would be able to help me out…

    Cheers,

Really liked the TM8… great specs, solid build, good value for money, but… it didn’t seem to like me! 🙁

Occasionally, while playing/mixing tracks, I would get a noticable crackling noise that would remain for 10 minutes or longer, before it disappeared again. After checking/exchanging cables, trying different software, and checking possible latency issues, I figured the crackling could only have been caused by the TM8 itself. So I took it back to the dealer, where I was unable to reproduce the error (of course!!), hence the dealer suggesting that it may be an issue specific to my laptop setup, i.e. possibly my hardware drivers.

Rather than trying my luck with a new TM8 unit, I decided to go for the Pioneer DDJ-SX2 instead… OMG!!! While I really liked the TM8… I LOVE THE SX2!!! Sorry Terry! 😉

Ps: FYI only, I was using the TM8 together with a Lenovo X220 laptop. There has been no further unidentified crackling noises since using the SX2.
