Thanks for your 2 cents Jonathan . Finally unboxed and connected my setup. Whole heck of things to learn but enjoying it so far. The long pitch faders are really helping out with the beat matching.
I do have one question though. I’ve only used it a few times and the vu meters hits red every so often on the controller when the track gets loud. Although I haven’t really turned up the volume on the speakers or master gain. I’m assuming I have to adjust the master gain somewhere ?
Great to hear. Although my choice was kinda made for me . I received the mtp3 last week as a birthday present from some friends. Sadly I’ve been so busy in the last week I haven’t been able to cracked it open. Planning to this weekend hopefully.
That’s what I’ve read. Lucked out today. Found a new pair of m-audio AV32’s at a discount price and they threw in RCA cables with the purchase. Prepping my space for the setup as we speak. Thanks for all the tips and opinions. Definately made this move much easier. Stoked to get started
Hi everyone . Just wanted to ask your opinion on a reccomended RCA cable to connect a controller to the speakers. My controller descision was made for me yesterday when I received a MTP3 for my birthday . So now I have to pick up an RCA cable to start it up.
May sound like a stupid question but noticed the sb2 has trim pots. Not sure what those are. From what I’ve been able to find is that they control the tracks volume output? Is it very necessary to have this feature?
Thought about that. They do have both controllers in stock but unfortunately nothing on the floor I could try out. Although everything I’ve heard suggest that I can’t go wrong with either and they both run on serato so it will Definately be down to preference. Leaning towards the mixtrack because of the long pitch sliders. Perhaps will help me get beat matching down a bit quicker
