ParticipantHey eros,
No problem, yes i was with it twice in the club already, but from now on, i will only play with it, because i had to get used to it, thats why i only played with it twice in the club yet. Pluggin proccess is easy, only 2 audio cables and 1 USB cable, thats it (I play with 2 Decks). I talked to the club owner already, he will get one too, so i don t need to bring the controller everytime. 300 € is not much for a club owner, when you think about times, when he had to get 2 CDJs each 1000 lol. @U31 Me personly don t miss the jog wheels, the pitch paddles are very good – in both ways, as pitch fader as well as pitch bend, both works very good. I think i would miss the jog wheels, if i would be a scratch guy, but i am not ;-)Also i saw something very interesting for mobil djs:

MemberThanks for that RealRasputin. Although it just occurred to me that the DJM 900 is wider than the 800 by about an inch, so I’m sure if the above set will work but interesting nonetheless.

ParticipantHow is it going eros,
Did you get a MC-1000? I got me a DJM-900 and its a perfect team, really great! i have much fun! Especially mixing the DJM + Traktor effects at the same time! great 🙂 and the setup looking f**king sexy lolDecember 15, 2011 at 2:34 pm #11488eros
MemberHey RealRasputin. I’m well thanks mate, managed to get a few demos out recently hoping to land a regular gig. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get the MC-1000 yet so I’m still just using my controller but wow you have my dream set up with that and the DJM-900 so its great to hear your views on it !! That set up is just insane, I mean like you said, all the features of Traktor plus the Beat Effects and X-Pad of the DJM-900 not to mention the six Sound Color Fx as well !! I don’t think I’d ever leave the house !!
Just a question with the Beat Effects..do they sync & quantise automatically to the BPM of the track you load off Traktor or do you have to set the BPM yourself ? I’d love to hear more of your experience plus any quirks or limitations etc that you’ve found as hopefully I’ll soon join you with that set up.
Cheers mate..

MemberNow if we can get them to make a version without the soundcard to use as an additional Midi controller for people who already have controllers with soundcards…kind of like the Denon DN-HC1000..but for Traktor.

Participant@eros Yea the setup is really insane. Its hard to leave the house or even to do not music lol. Also you right, the X-Pad is just crazy too.
I set up the BPM by myself at the moment on the DJM 900. Its easy and the tap button goes smooth. But i know, i don t have to, i just didn t have the time to configure the Traktor Setup for my DJM-900. I didn t plug the DJM-900 to my MacBook yet, but i hope i will find some time this weekend to get the setting done for the djm-900 in combination with the MC-1000 that everything is on time. The beat effects from the MC-1000 are always synced. Also i will do a second mapping of the MC-1000, that i can use the MC-1000 only as controller with no sound. I don t want to play with this mapping all the time, but i think it will be interresting, i will put the effects time on the MC-1000 pitch bend for example. This will be a lot of fun 😉December 15, 2011 at 4:44 pm #11492realrasputin6@googlemail.com
Participant@djsquared
You don t need to use the soundcard, you can also use the mc-1000 ONLY as controller. I mean if the mc-1000 would be expensive as hell, then i would rather look for a controller without soundcard, but its not…December 16, 2011 at 8:18 am #11520eros
Member@RealRasputin
Thanks again for the info mate…always enlightening !! Let us know how you get on with configuring the DJM-900 to Traktor and the new mapping..I’ll be looking out for it.April 13, 2012 at 4:00 pm #18500realrasputin6@googlemail.com
Participant@eros how you doing? any news overthere?
I was at the musikmesse in frankfurt and checked the zomo stand, they gave me a card with contacts…. and there was a us website on it, so i was thinking about you, because you didn t have a opportunity to get zomo overthere right? maybe you have it already, or you have other plans for your equipment. anyways here is the website: http://www.zomodjusa.comI did a picture of my setup, i got me an apc-40 too, synced Traktor & Ableton – you can imagine whats going in the booth now 😉 craaaazyyyy shiaaaaat 😉

MemberHey Mate ! Great to hear from you and wow your set up is awesome man !! How on earth do you ever leave the house !?
I’m in Australia and still no one stocks the Zomo so its a real bummer. So the only thing I’ve added to my set up is a pair of HD-25’s which I just love. Next purchase will be the DJM-900 hopefully !
I wanted to get your opinion on effects because with your set up you will be the best person I know to answer this. Do you find that the Pioneer effects on your DJM-900 sound better than the effects off Traktor ? I jam with a mate that has a DJM-800 and CDJ-1000 Mk3 (so I just plug my controller into a spare channel on the DJM). We’ve found that the effects off the DJM sound much brighter and crisper than those off Traktor. The difference is really obvious even after we tried adjusting the Traktor effect in advance settings. Since your set up allows you to use both easily, I figured you may have noticed something similar ?

Participantyeaa its hard to leave the house hahaha, especially when you have some new music to spin!
Yes for some reason the DJM effects sounds better as the Traktor Effekts. I use the DJM-900 effects the most, because they are “post fader” when i am djing, plus they sounds warmer. But Traktor has some nice effects too, like the iceverb for example, they can be sick in combination with the DJM effects!!! My opinion about the traktor effects is: they sounds really digital, which is not be a bad advantage! The best is when you can choose between djm and traktor effects ;-D
Eros, think about the DJM-850 (the mixer has a built in interface for traktor)
I like the HD-25s too, they are really comfortable.
Zomo had some similiar ones too on the musikmesse, they looked a little bit like the AIAIAI, i wanted to buy these, but they didn t sell it 🙁 they was very comfortable and felt like made of rubber 😉 really cool and VERY flexible! i loved them.December 7, 2012 at 8:29 pm #33254realrasputin6@googlemail.com
ParticipantHey @Eros how you doing? Whats going on with your DJ Setup, you bought any new stuff? On which stuff you jamming at the moment?
I saw that they reduced the price of the zomo from 299 to 189€, just a lil tip, in case you still want to get the zomo…
I still rolling with my setup, nothing changed, except my software, got me the remix decks of traktor, great tool!
Maybe i will get that F1 controller to christmas, in case i can t do a good mapping on my vestax for the remix decks. Still on it :-/ a lil bit hard… -
