If you are set on DVS then I would honestly go with either a Rane mixer (for Serato Scratch Live) like the SixtyTwo or the Native Instruments Z2 or the Denon X1600 (for Traktor). Sound output wise (24-bit soundcard) most current DVS systems are equal anyways and the built in effects in the mixer wont matter for the DVS system in many cases as you use the software for that as you easily have more options.
On the other hand to save some money and see if DVS is for you, you can just keep the MC6000 (as I said it is quite professional) and add a certified soundcard (Rane or NI) to the system. Yes it is a bit of a stretch but works to just start out.
