Hey Mista,
Respectfully disagree. I’d use a MacBook straight out of the box and not worry about it. I’d need about 3 hours before a new Windows (7, don’t even mention 8) laptop is ready for DJ use. First you have to get rid of all the unwanted bloatware, then you need to upgrade all drivers, then update Windows. Then you have to start getting rid of all the features you don’t need. Then you have to run disk and registry cleaners to make sure all this installing/deinstalling has not messed up your laptop. Finally you have to setup all the audio and drivers and software for your DJ Soft-/Hardware. It can be done and once prepped properly the Windows laptop WILL perform with comparable stability, but it’s not with the same kind of hassle-free as the MBP. And trust me, this comes from someone who hasn’t allowed an Apple product into his house til his first iPhone three years ago. I still use my MBP ONLY for DJ-ing (the rest of my machine are all Windows and the occassional test-machine with Linux) and the iPad for a bit of browsing but mostly for live sound (with a Mackie DL1608 mixer) and DJ-ing (with a Numark iDJ Pro).
And even then, with a few exceptions, all the other things that were mentioned, metal body, power connector, backlit keys, retina screen and the way audio drivers ALWAYS work without 3rd party influence on a MBP would still be missing.
Which is not to say that a badly written program WILL bring down any machine, even a MBP.
