    I have a Samsung for over a year now, i5 – 4 GB RAM – Win 7 64b, and i would recommend it to anyone. It was a pain to tweak it for latency, but now Latency Checker gives me a stable 150 -170 milliseconds, with peaks of maybe 250; I’m sure that other laptops can do better than this, but it’s more than enough to work smoothly. The system is very stable, no hangs, blue screens or whatever.

    My experience has been that OSX just handles audio a lot better than Windows. I used to use a Dell laptop for Ableton DJing and got frequent drop outs in the sound – CPU and RAM usage was low and I just couldn’t get to the bottom of it. Windows seems more likely to drop out the audio.

    When I eventually upgraded to a Mac I didn’t have any trouble at all. One time Traktor’s screen locked up but the music carried on playing regardless and eventually the screen came back.

    Im getting a new vaio soon with the i5, 4gb of ram (upgradding to 8 though), backlit keys (perfect for the clubs) and a glowing green colour 🙂
