I may be biased, but try the NI S4. 4 channels, all the effects you need (you’ll learn to love them, trust), $1000ish and it’s much smaller than the Pioneer controllers, so you can bring it almost anywhere.

If you want to use Serato, take a look at:
-Numark NS6 (Numark also produces DJ Headphones)
    – Vestax VCI-400

Just in case if you change your mind and want to try Traktor, try:
-Denon MC6000 (Denon also produces Pro DJ Headphones)
    – Numark 4Trak
    – NI S4

What exactly you need and want is personal preference, so choose what you like / need the most.

Thank u guys for the advise, i think it´s going to be denon or numark, wich is a brand i really like but lot of my friends who have more djing experienced than me don’t give a lot of credit, i would love to purchase the vci-400 but it’s only available with serato intro, and i have no funds to purchase extra software for now, maybe next year…

Actually, the VCI-400 does not work with Serato Itch, but the VCI-380 (coming out shortly) does and looks to be an elite serato itch controller.

denon have been making top line gear for years go for the denon mc6000… why do the headphones have to be the same as control..?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the Vestax VCI-400 only works with Serato Intro. Thanks Vinny!
