    P.S. I use my small RCA speakers ONLY for practice and use my full PA system ONLY for gigs.

    Sounds to me that there is a frequency in the scratches that the speakers do not like, or that your scratching somehow bypasses a volume limiter.
    What controller/software do you use, which laptop, soundcard… give us some more info.

    I figured it out, I increased the buffer size earlier and it created problems for some reason. Turned it back down to half-way now it’s not effing up any more.
