Out of the two the Numark would have my vote. But I’d rather go for something else.

However, you can not seriously expect an clear answer to your question if you don’t supply us with some more relevant information. Like what kind of DJ you are, what you expect to do accomplish, etc.

Sorry. I’m just beginning making the step from producer to performer/DJ and I’m wanting to make sure that I will stick with it and don’t want to spend a lot of money just in case it’s not my thing. I’m trying to find something that my parents can afford to get me for Christmas this year as they do not have that much money. And I’m pretty sure they got me a sh***y laptop too, which makes me really upset. The one I would really like to have is either Mixtrack Pro 2 or 3, or Pioneer DDJ SB. And my expectations: well I hope to be able to practise and get good enough to play a gig by the end of next year.

Truth be told, nudge them in the direction of a used one.

There are plenty around that haven’t seen hard use, because they were bought by people like you that then decided it wasn’t for them, guys that outgrew it and upgraded after a year or so or people buying a newer version.

More often than not these controllers will have been used only for practice in bedrooms.

    Just my two cents.

That’s exactly what I would like to do. I’ve been looking on Guitar Center’s website and they have some pretty good deals. I seen the Mixtrack pro 2 and Pioneer DDJ SB for under $200. Most of them are in excellent condition.

Way better experience and if you like it, they will take you a bit further than the original two you mentioned.
