    1) PC works juts as well for “getting the most” out of djing, the quality of your performances will not falter based on your platform. The only real justification for macs (imo) is dependent on whether you produce/do graphic design, and whether your workstations are mac platforms. After dabbling with various DAWs, Logic felt like the best fit for me.
    2) I would suggest the largest size in which you feel comfortable carrying around with you. I use a 13″ 2010 pro, and it gets the job done, but with Traktor I really wish I had more screen real-estate. A 17″ (which I believe mac is discontinuing) would be ideal IMO, but the 13″ can more than get the job done once you get used to it.

This depends largely on what you want.
If you want portability and light weight you can go with the cheapest 13” MacBook Pro or Air.
If you would like a bit more screen size (not resolution) go with the 15”, but it is a bit heavier.

Basically any current Mac can drive any DJ software with ease.

That was more my concern, which one could handle the software without slowdown and with the best sound quality. I have a Traktor S4 and of course Traktor Pro to go with it.

Every current Mac can run this with ease.
I have an old Macbook Pro that is at least 6 years old and it can handle running Serato DJ and Maschine at the same time.

any top range laptop can run one program running on its own. My advice is only use djing laptop for djing… that way it will run smooth forever….

With Macs I disagree. I have LOTs of software running on my laptop for different things plus my DJ stuff.
    Have never had a problem.

I have an early 2011 (entry level) MacBook Pro 13″. I think it’s plenty fast, and just like Terry’s mine’s filled with tons of other programs, even games (using Windows 7 via bootcamp). It still runs Traktor Pro 2 like butter. In other words, there’s no reason to fear any current MacBook (Pro) wouldn’t do the trick.

It’s totally up to you. Just make sure your wallet can handle the purchase.
