Great off topic thread. FYI ‘to smash’ (urgh, disgusting phrase) is common in some parts of northern England too.
Branden: acapellas4u is excellent. And I’d second atom12v, for acapellas 192kbps and up is just fine.
Does anybody know how to get old Acapellas like 80’s and 70’s. I’m not crazy about all the spam on acapellas4u, which is quite often how people get virus’ I would rather pay like a dollar or two a track.
Get a mic, find friends who have a good voice, and go DIY.
I’d look for actual accapellas for songs I want. I’ll still never forget how excited I was to get accapellas of “Let No Man Put Asunder” by First Choice or “Oh Shelia” by Ready For The World.
Regardless…what you’re looking for is almost along the lines of name drops…just more blown out. Try making them yourself.
