These days, dark techno with driving basslines and lots of percussive tech house.

Fidget House. I just love the bass/melody combo on some of those things.

In terms of sport techno because it is fun tweeking the mixer to change the focus of the mix, it lends well to having 3 decks running, and you can be fairly heavy with effects as the music is percussive so as long as you have rhythm it’s hard to make anything you do sound bad.

In terms of listening I love drum n bass, because it is a truily versatile musical genre that never gets boring as there is always something new or old to discover about it when you need a change. Drum n bass should be left alone to play (no effects) but quick mixing is always good to keep the beats rolling.

I love 80-120 BPM, housey feel and properly mixed but taking in funk, hip hop, reggae, soul, pop, rock, latin, chill out… something to do with living by a 2-mile long beach I think!

I think I’m living in the wrong place! Sounds magical.

I like to play different things based on my mood.

Deep funky jackin house, epic fast-paced trance, old school in different “eras”, tech house, whatever gets me off this week.

tech house, funky/disco house, house, minimal.

Way more fun to mix and i can use 4 decks, and its more about blending and can create some insane buildups and transitions

Breaks. Because I cut my teeth (in terms of personal musical preference) on Prince, Talking Heads, Black Flag and Public Enemy.

    Soulful House and Deep house.
    I can’t really explain why.

    Because it’s classy!
I am one of the few who like to mix a lot of Nu Disco, mostly the slower disco with BPM’s ranging between 100 and 120. I just digg those 80’s synths and indie vibes. I often mix that with some deep house along the lines. Most of the time those are chillout mixes. Still working to get a more danceable but still not too speedy nu disco mix.

I love house with lots of vocals, and top 40 party music. Thing is that there are alot of kick ass tracks that seem mainstreem but arent played in clubs here in Toronto., or even on the radio.

    Deep house, because Groove.
    Soulful/jazzy, house because classy groove.
tech house, because it gives me that after hours feel.
Lounge, because beachhouse summer chillout is the best time of the year 🙂

i personally love mixing really chill, and relaxed dubstep, because the low sub-bass creates such an amazing groove. but if i’m in more of an up-beat mood, i’d have to go with either electro house, or Hardstyle, because of their euphoric melodies, and powerful bass.
