iTunes is awesome in my opinion because they have this “suggestion” thing after you buy a song, and it’ll show you what others who bought that sound have also purchased. I also just watching YouTube mixes and just search up my favorite/known DJ’s and their remixes. But yeah, problem with BeatPort is most of their songs sound exactly the same…

Since I’m cheap, I like going to free music blogs, groups on soundcloud, I also have to like a bunch of stuff on facebook. But it’s been decent so far. When I do buy music it’s mostly from Amazon or Audiojelly, rarely do I go to BP or Juno.

I love iTunes for Top 4 stuff or mainstream music. It’s not the best place for the hard to find tracks and remixes. Though I find with zipDJ interesting and hard to find remixes of popular tracks, instrumentals and acapellas the library doesn’t go as far back as iTunes. Digging in BP is a pain. There’s so much of the same thing. The cool thing about sites like zip – one price, unlimited downloads. I’m still trying it out.

I don’t know never been keen on iTunes, I just preferably find what I need on my own, don’t like to rely on mainstream sources because of my music preferences but that doesn’t mean I dislike iTunes.

http://www.stumble.com” install the add on in either firefox or IE set interests to Music and stumble away.
This is a totally random way of visiting music sites that you may never have found doing basic Google searches.

djcity.com and mp3poolonline.com. both offer intros to songs which makes it super easy for mixing. i use djcity for all my hip hop music downloading and mp3pool for all my edm and top 40 downloads. amazing websites and well worth the money.

The one thing iTunes does give me is a sense of what people (non-DJs) are listening too. Then I can go and find a good dance remix of that track.

Yeah, I mean I don’t have anything against iTunes, I think it is great for general audence, also as you have stated it is a very good tool if you want to research what have been people listening to so on and so forth.
It just doesnt cover all the stuff im in too. Nevertheless it is ok. For mainstream music and mixes it is definitely more then ok.
