Peixinho – I can vouch for the quality of Traktor 2 Pro – it’s one hell of a piece of software! You’ll love it.

I can also highy recomend the Crane Stand – it’s the most flexible and durable stand on the market (and the most expensive, but you get what you pay for), and will last for years, if not decades! When shopping for my stand, I looked at all the other stands on the market, and all looked as though they’d break within a few months of use. Also some colapsible stands couldn’t even hold the weight of my (heavy) 17″ laptop. So I have not a single regret what so ever with my stand!

I’ve been messing around with T2 demo but one thing I conclude was that the multicolored spectrum is still in need of a bit of work. But until I buy it, I’ll stick with Traktor LE
About the Crane, I first was considering Zomo’s stand but after reading a lot of reviews I ended up with the Crane but with all the extras it will cost me 385$ which is quite a bit but is nothing that a dozen gigs can’t solve. But I believe most can’t handle your pc weight, mine weights around 2,56Kg (around 5 pounds) and for me is a bit heavy for a thing mainly made of plastic…

$385! Ouch! Mine cost $180 AUD – which was an ex-demo with no extras. Just wondering, what extras were you concidering?

I think it was all of them but here is the list:
    Custom engraving
    Wirekeep leds
    Subtray
    Centerstage
    Colored knobs
    Tote Bag
    and that’s all of them.

Those Wirekeep LEDs look pretty cool, as does the Centre-stage. However I like to offset my stand, so the Centerstage isnt needed, and it looks as though the subtray can be added on later, as do the Wirekeep LEDs.

Although the custom engraving looks pretty cool, I dont think it’s all that visible from the crowd, but I can always get some done later if need be.

But I got a significant discount by buying what my store had in stock, so I’m not complaining. Might get the gf to get me some Wirekeep LEDs for my birthday though 😀

The engraving is for in case of stealing. I also prefer to have my pc off set but sometimes, a mixer or a controller might be in the angle and so it justifies the centerstage. all of them, apart from the engraving can be added but I would rather have all at once

I use a Crane stand too – they’re awesome 🙂 Here’s what the fuss is about if you don’t know… Crane Laptop Stand

Good question. I’m most likely looking at getting a controller for Traktor Pro 2 or a new sound card and/or better speakers. I fell prey to the marketing trap last year and am stuck with Bose speakers. I payed far too much for far too little.

Oh sorry, definitely a pair of solid headphones!!!! Mine are great, but not suited for DJing (isolation wise)

A new sound card. either m audio audiophile 2496 or if it isn’t in stock the creative SB-DMP-HD usb external box. oh and new mopnitor… probably 24″ samsung. (sure the 55″ lcd is good for home, bit big to carry to gigs)

A proper PA setup. At least 2 15″ tops to start with, then a sub . . . . or two.
Ive had my eyes on all the local deals, there isnt much that’ll fit in my car though 🙁

A rotary mixer. If I can find one that I really like.

I’m thinking about getting a couple of these to add to my BCD3000 setup. I’ve heard good things about them, and have seen one at my local Maplin so I know that they’re not as toy-like as they look. The jog wheel is supposedly quite good, and the 100mm 14-bit pitch fader should be way better than the ones on the BCD3000.

They’re well made, got one here.

Yeah, the one in Maplin certainly feels nice and rugged. What’s the resolution on the platter like?
