The Denon DN-MC6000 can too

MemberI’ve had my eyes on a Pioneer EFX 500 for a while now, but I read somewhere that my mixer (just a beginner’s Behringer DJX750) doesn’t play nicely with the EFX… something about the volume not working when using the send and return unless you’ve disabled the cueing for the channel, so having to use it on the master instead (which kinda defeats what I want to use the EFX for).
So it looks like I might need to upgrade to a decent mixer… which I guess means I could get one with easier-to-use effects built in.
Otherwise I want to buy a white Ikea Expedit as everything is perched on my computer desk at the moment.

I feel your pain there! Good speakers make all the difference.

MemberI’d like to buy everything 🙂 but because I busted by decade old cans last week I think I should get some reasonably cheap comfortable headphones with good ambient sound deadening and decent frequency response. I might get me an Audio DJ2 at the same time as I have the funds to go get these today – but will probably skip the sound card and continue putting the pennies to one side to get a new controller that I can call my own.
In the long run, definitely a controller – possibly one of the Vestax VCI range of controllers on Phil’s recommendation .. Plus a laptop with a much larger screen to run T2 .. I could do with a keyboard vacuum to keep the dust away too.

Member2 brand new SHURE M447 cartridges! After that I need another mixer. Looking at something in the Vestax or Behringer world… I’ve had my current Behringer mixer for about 7 years or so . . . still running like a champ!

MemberI don’t really need any more gear. I could turn the 1000’s into 2000’s, the 62 into a 92, maybe add a second Kontrol X1 – but my current setup does pretty much exactly what I need it to do.

MemberUnfortunately I need some Decent Headphones having broken my Pioneer and Sennheiser ones; and this is a Must;
But I would Love to get the AKAI APC40 for Ableton; and I should have the money by AugustJune 26, 2011 at 2:14 am #685Chris Jennings
ParticipantI’m thinking another X1, but I’m patiently waiting a few months.

ParticipantNew Soundcard I think the Audio 6. Currently I have a a Numark DJIO and I have been slowly picking up more gear and need more ins and outs.
BTW ZZsounds.com is my new best friend. Just being able to pickup the gear I need and to pay for it in 4 installments is the best situation for me. I can’t afford to drop 400$ on a piece of gear but I can easily swing 100$ a month for 4 months. If your DJing on a budget like I am check them out I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Check American Musical as well. Purchases over $1000 can get you 5 payments.
