    I use Torq. I even wrote the review of it here.

    I originally chose Torq because of the price, but stayed because I liked its workflow better.

    I originally used Traktor DJ Studio with Final Scratch and then switched over to Deckadance when Native Instruments and Stanton split up. I didn’t care for the new Traktor partially because of price but also because of complication. I like to keep things simple and easy to use. However, my choice not to go Serato was also because price and lack of features.

    If I ever left Torq, I’d probably give Traktor another shot, or even Virtual DJ. I think VDJ has a nice workflow as well. Plus the customization and added features make it quite powerful.

    I currently use Traktor Pro 2 for it’s effects and wide variety of contoller capabilities. I’ve used Virtual DJ Home & Pro (Home was what got me back into Djing actually) however I believe Traktor teaches you to learn your music, not sync waveforms as I found myself doing with VDJ. That said, VDJ is a fantastic beginners software, which I’d highly recomend to anyone keen to give DJing a go.

    I use Mixxx! (http://www.mixxx.org)
    Because i’m poor! And the developers and users are all on the forum and everyone is great.
    and i have VDJ home, which is cool, but i might want to record my mixes and you cant. and the FX sound corny (especially the filters, which, doing some production IMO sound awefull.)

    TP2 for me… I love the effects… I’ve tried a bunch of other software but traktor just feels like home to me.

    Currently running VDJ 7 Pro. It works well with my Mixtrack Pro, but has crashed several times on me. Happens sometimes, only when I’m selecting a different effect. No big deal I guess. I do like the workflow and simple layout. I’m hoping Itch doesn’t let me down when I upgrade to the NS6. I like to keep things simple.

    I’m using Serato SL-3 with Video SL-1. Very easy to use. Bought it because of the video capability. Also like it because I was in a situation where I had to use a controller (Vestex VCI-300) because of space contraints & logistics. Couldn’t use TT’s on a float in a parade. Serato Itch was compatible with Scratch being all of my cue points were already set. That was great. Now when Itch incorporates video then Serato will have a win-win.

    im using virtualdj right now but I gotta say the stupid LE edition that came with my mixtrack left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t get why the home free version I downloaded off the internet has more features than the cd they included. Plus it’s crashed on me a few times and the displays frozen for a while too. I certainly don’t like it enough to pay 300 or however much it is for pro, so when I get enough money to spend on software I’ll probably get traktor.

    Started out with Vinyl, now use Traktor Scratch Pro 2 with Timecodes and a Kontrol X1 to add that bit of digital trickery that Traktor makes possible.

    just because you have a website sitting there doesn’t mean it is getting seen, read around on the articles. You need to get out there and get your name known and start your own image. Your doing a good start by djing parties for friends and such but you should try and branch from there and get gigs with clubs in your area, schools, referrals, etc. Just keep on keeping on and you’ll soon see your hard work start to pay off.

    agree with sterilize – you’ve got to make your own headway… start talking to promoters, bar owners, managers etc – they have a great series of articles on the regular ddjt site from D-jam that give you some great step by step advice.

    I started my Digital DJ Mixing with VDJ; then moved onto Deckadance; then onto Traktor DJ Studio;
    But; eventually decided to take the plunge and learn Everything I could (which took Months) about how to DJ with Ableton 8;
    I recently had another go with both TorQ and Traktor Pro 2; but have now gone back to Ableton;
