    I just sold my MC6000 (mk1) to a dad that bought it for his son (sure you did …!). He did say that he would give it to his son on the condition that he could play with it too.

    The son had better get his hours in when dad’s working or I fear he will never get his hands on it.

    I can see the domestic squabble ensuing already: “Daddddddddd! Go get your own controller!”

    I talked to my 13 year old and agreed that upon feeling comfortable with the starter controller I get, I will upgrade and he can get my starter one. Hopefully he does take to it as I would rather have him spinning than playing video games. I explained to him that at his age I was starting to mix with my old pyramid mixer/technics setup and making a nice chunk of change doing house parties. His eyes glazed over when I said that!

    LOL … Yeah, I started at 14 … but no SL1200s in sight then (1977). Nor anything resembling a real mixer.
