I really hate the guy or girl….who comes up and wants you to play the “it” at 9pm. I just tell tell it’s on the set and if you stay long enough you will hear it.

The most annoying for me, are the ones that say one of the following:
“can you play shuffle music” “can you play some DJ Blend” “can you play techno” and my favorite “do you have any David Guetta or Deamau5”

Oh but it gets better! Last night, half-empty club, bad night, only few groups of people inside.. one dude comes up to me and asks me “hey man can you play some David Guetta?” and I am like what the.. I have “Memories” playing at that moment. I just go “yeah, sure” and he leaves. After that I play that new song “Sweat” and see the dude glancing towards me every half minute.. so okay, I put on “Love is gone” after a few tracks and still no reaction from the dude, he starts looking a bit angry.. then I give in and cut in “The world is mine” and finally he recognizes the track and gives me thumbs up and all that..

You know, I can deal with most personality types…. it’s part of the job. (Everybody’s an armchair quarterback.)

I’m most concerned with people who pose a physical threat to me, my equipment or other patrons. I have no time for big, rowdy, mouth-breathing drunks who get all manacling when you won’t play Lynyrd Skynyrd. “In the parking lot, you can totally be as free as a bird, I promise. You should go try right now.” 😉

Seeing what Jorn said, I think rock guys are the worst assholes in a bar, club, etc. Not only do they run off some of the women. Some of them are racist assholes!!! Not all rock guys are like this. Still, some are just plain no good.

Riding on that though.. the folks that peeve me the most are the “Umbrella Requester” you know, the ones that give you a general heading hoping that the Ms. Cleo in you can interpret the specific song they want to hear.
