DJ GRE
Memberagree with that one – this one time a girl texted me a list of 24 (!!!) songs that she wanted to hear!
I don’t know what it is but at this one bar I play at theres usually someone that tries to touch my set up and I can’t stand that – they usually just hang around and try to fiddle with stuff, sometimes annoyingly so.

MemberTrue “the guy that is also dj” is a bit annoying. But the worst are the bad boys -.-‘ they keep coming to me and say “Puxa, PUXA” which means “pull up” or whatever. they want acid music because they drink to much, just annoying..

Yeah, if it’s the sort of person who actually know what they’re talking about. Anyone else is ANNOYING >:(
For me, it’s those guys that think they somehow have the right to split from the crowd and look over my shoulder at what I’m doing.

KeymasterTrue, I’m not into that either…

Seconding this.
The first thing that comes to mind as “annoying” are the times someone places a request and then proceeds to hang around the booth waiting for me to play it. It creates a really uncomfortable atmosphere – as if their entitled to whatever they requested to be played right away (or at all for that matter). Next to that would be people who return to the booth and ask why their request hasn’t been played yet, and/or when I’m going to play it. I really want to tell these people to just chill-out, go get another drink and find someone to dance with in the meantime. I don’t mind requests too much because it’s valuable info for reading the crowd, but I hate being treated like a jukebox.

ParticipantMy answer are “trixies”
That’s a term I use for the typical girls who come into the club and think they’re so important or special because they have a vagina. They come up, ask for music that usually conflicts with the overall vibe of the night, but insist you play it for various excuses that all lead up to a sense of entitlement because they’re women.
They generally flirt around for free drinks from men, but keep insisting outside of the club that they pay for their own drinks, are going to school, and aren’t just a pair of tits.
Every time I speak of annoying people, requests, etc…it’s the trixies that come to mind.

MemberThe most annoying person to me is the one who requests a song you know you dont have but are adamant you do have it; that person comes into thr booth and asks ”let me see what you do have”.

MemberNot really annoying, but how about when people request songs and upon you mixing them in, give no reaction… refuse to do anything other than stand there and stare off into space. I don’t expect everyone to break out into the electric slide when I play requests but at least PRETEND like you’re enjoying your request. Help me get the people dancing, return the favor! If you wanted to stand and just listen to music, probably should have saved your money and remained at home 😀 And if the ladies/dudes are your motivation, a zombie like demeanor definitely won’t get you far… 😎

ParticipantTo add on to what Lasso said, if you don’t have it, they demand you look it up on the internet.

I HATE this. I have a girl at my regular gig who’s always drunk at 9:30 every week and insists on hearing kings of leon or blur, then if you play it for her she’s either just standing there looking like a stunned fish, or in the toilets. I also cant stand people who ask for something then if you havn’t got it they say “what HAVE you got?” What, am I supposed to list all 2500 songs on my harddrive?

The best answer to this question is: “Good music”.
The most annoying people I’ve had are (twice, now) people who requested tunes from a particular decade (60’s once, 80’s the other), when I had been playing tunes from those decades previously.
