    It would have been better to come to ask for advice BEFORE getting the DJM2000 Nexus. Apparently you went and bought the mixer that even most pro’s don’t use (the DJM-900 Nexus mixer is by far the most popular with pro’s), already knowing that you couldn’t afford the CDJ2000 Nexus players.

    Obviously you can get some low(er) end CD players to go with your mixer, but that would be a waste really.

    The same money you have spent on the DJM is what would have gotten you the DDJ-SZ, Pioneer’s flagship controller.

    It’s not clear to me how experienced you are as a DJ (although I have an idea :-), but unless you are experienced, I would not even recommend the SZ yet. Half the money gets you the SX2 which is a plenty good controller for all but the most demanding of DJs.

    Is there any chance you can go and refund your 2000?

    Indeed the DJM 2000 Nexus is what nobody uses and it is pretty much useless without the CDJ 2000 Nexus players as its features will revert to that of a 200 bucks mixer if not used with that players.
    You bet on the wrong horse there, sorry to say that.

    Hello and thank you for your replies I appreciated
    I had such a good deal of this mixer and I could not refuse it
    import directly from Malaysia and over £500 saving, my DJ skills are very limited and to be honest I am bit old for this
    48 years old here!! but I always loved DJing and of course the music
    reason I went top range mixer because of their values and easy to sell it when I am done get bored with them
    I am really shopping around to get least one of the CDJ 2000 nexus to go with this mixer
    I had Pioneer XDJR-1 and did not liked it much also it went wrong (right hand side sync button led and transistor gone)
    I wanted all separate system and top range I did not know this site existed before making purchase
    well it looks like a I made expensive mistake and CDJ 2000 nexus it must have to complete this set up

    Honestly with that savings I would try to sell the DJM ASAP and buy a laptop and a good controller for the money you get.
    You will have more possibilities with a laptop + controller for less money than the DJM 2000 than pay for a Nexus CDJ.

    And you are not too old. I am 40 here and still DJing internationally. I went from vinyl to CDJ to controller.

    Get a good fun controller like a reloop Terminal Mix 8 or a DDJ-SX2 if you prefer Pioneer. But that setup with a single CDJ just makes ZERO sense. Selling is your best option and minimise the losses. From that savings you prolly can sell it without any loss.

    I wont call it “easy”, its pretty much the most useless top tier mixer Pioneer ever released to the market, its bulky, very confusing touch-screen feature, very confusing to triggered a simple FX, and its HUGE !

    Just like other already pointed out, you better off sell it ASAP !

    Thanks guys, looks like I made a mistake to purchasing this mixer 🙁 will try to sell it hopefully losing too much money

    Yep, we can’t sugarcoat that pill for you. There is a Dutch saying though that boils down to better stop halfway down the wrong track than keep going and end up at the wrong destination.
