    I know a lot of DJ’s frown upon it but I have a massive library due to the fact I play a lot of genre’s of music. I mainly play commercial clubs which means I like to carry a big database from the present day charts all the way back to the 60’s, hence why i’m crossing over to digital DJ’ing with the new Denon’s, so I can just plug in my 1TB external and make it easier. I also do Drum ‘n’ Bass, House & Garage some nights……and Rock mixed with Irish tunes other nights, depending on where i’m playing.

    Usually playing a marathon set with a minimal library you just have to know when to re-drop a song… sometimes I’ve played the same track from the beginning of the set at the end and the people that had been there the whole set went nuts!

    Shortest was 15 minutes. longest was around seven hours. Did five this morning.

    Shortest was around 2 minutes, the guy before me was abusing fx really badly and wasnt killing his lows, then i went to transition out of his last track and the main amp blew. still got paid tho

    and my longest was just over 8 hours solid, thought i was ready to die, i played nearly every genre under the sun and when i was finished i slept for about a day.

    shortest, few minutes… longest by myself 9 hrs, longest with a mate about 14 hours. that was a hectic house party!

    I do 5 hours every Friday. 9-2, after working my day job as a gardener from 8-5. Saturdays are usually a write-off…
