It would mean that the RP-8000 is Serato DJ certified and can be used to unlock the software and that there is a default mapping in Serato DJ for the turntable …. which would be totally awesome.

Terry_42, I don’t quiet follow, probably because I know too little about DVS setups

Whould this mean, that you wouldn’t need a sound card like the Rane SL2 between the TT and your computer?
In that case I guess the TT needs to have the soundcard build in, and then use the USB exit not only for sending midi outputs for the new buttons, but also for the DVS?

    Am I understanding it correctly?

As for the sound card, yes that would be my guess.

As for the USB sends, I guess not, you will most likely still need Serato Timecode vinyls but the build in unit could send the timecode directly and not via a soundcard if they made it that way.

Of course that is speculation on my part, it could only be a mapping for Serato DJ and auto detection of the turntable… which would still be OKish, but for a complete DVS reloop would need to add a supported Serato Mixer with soundcard to complete the setup you spoke of.

the highlighted part of the text at the bottom almost hints at something new coming… RP-8000 tables and a Serato mixer similar in price and function to the Z2 would be awesome! Might reloop be working on a Serato mixer? Whoever comes out with a mixer for Serato for a reasonable price, say $1000 or less, will likely make me dive into DVS…. considering other options as well, but the picture leads me to think they might be working on a Serato mixer of some sort… I can only hope 🙂 Terry, I am looking into turntables and noticed another post where you mention liking the Reloop tables, other than the RP-8000/7000, should I consider any of the others. Also looking at Stanton and Audio-Technica.

As I predicted the RP 8000s are now Serato compatible.

I actually have a vinyl 12″ that is glow in the dark green like the Serato timecode vinyl here 😀
