I can sit at my work on off time and come up with mixes to record later at home.

I also don’t have to give up my desk for a large setup of 1200s + mixer.

I enjoy working with the BPMs and Harmonic mixing. Until I learned more about it, I never realized how a 30 year old song can easily mix with a current song. Sure, some folks don’t like it. Yet, most people don’t complain.

what excites me is the way this can still GROW…. I hate genre line-drawing and am excited that artists aren’t feeling constricted to stay in one lane or that labels don’t have nearly as much control as they used to. so i guess the possibilities really.

For me it’s a chance to discover both new music and to rediscover music as well as giving me a way of interacting with music that I hadn’t had before. I also find it great for destressing.

I love the fact that I can turn up at a club with my flightcase plugin the power and master out and I’m ready to DJ. Any song is just some types on my keyboard to be ready to play. No more sitting at home counting the BMP of vinyls and marking covers with BPM and key. I have it all in front of my eyes on the laptop that also is int that flight case :D.
    Totaly love DDJ’ing

I love having all my music with me. While I usually prepare set lists/crates that I usually stick to, sometimes you see the crowd react to a tune and you just feel “the next song needs to be this track…” and with digital you just have that with you, for sure.
Also I love to be able to take my equipment everywhere and that I do not have to invest 10k bucks into it, like in the old days. Plus the possibilities with easy samples, auto loops and much easier effects are also way cool. Never again get to a venue where some duche bar owner hooked up 2 excellent CDJs to a sad old mixer with tin can EQs…
Also never again to carry crates full of CDs or bags and bags of vinyl around is really nice on my back.

The sync button. I can mix traditional style on vinyl, but no worries about tempo drift frees my mind for more creative and ambitious mixes.
