Why don’t you just rip your CDs then play digitally?

I have all ripped but the problem is the costs of using digital in public over here. a yearly fee where i cant change the files i select. If i do want to bring new ones to a event its a extra cost per track.
So having cds as something that can be used also would reduce costs dramaticaly.
And starting out in a country i hardly know the language i dont know if i want to risk paying out the yearly fees.
Maybe even a controller that can have 2 cheap cd decks added to at a later date would be fine. but wouldnt know which controler would be good for that.
Have you heard much about mixdeck quad? i cant find anything about it other than basic information.

Ah I see. We have never reviewed hybrid decks so can’t honestly give you much advice. I am at NAMM next week so I’ll look out for you! Ask me in 10 days! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks that would be amazing if you managed that ๐Ÿ™‚
Todays age is just insane going mad with all the choices avaliable on how to build a set up. especially that i love to use controllers but really need to use hybrid setup.
Back 10 years ago when i got my first cd decks walked into a shop and was told you have a choice of 3 for your price and needs.
seems the world is changing so fast its great but no choice is easy especially with the internet making choices even harder with all the good and bad reviews on everything.

But anyway if the mixdeck quad or something similer to that is really not that amazing especially for controller sides of things. Is there a controller out there for me that will be able to be 4 channel with option at later date to add in cd decks. easy to set up when i arrive. and is perfect for playing old skool happy hardcore. and uk hardcore. will be other types played but they will be the main ones.

    -Thanks.

Any four channel DJ controller with external inputs in its spec will let you do this – DN-MC6000, NS6, Traktor Kontrol 4 etc.

still having major issues choices are really driving me mad ๐Ÿ˜€

DN mc6000 – seems my favourite but im terriable with mapping and is it true what i heard, the mapping for this is very poorly done and is not very plug and play?

Pioneer ddj t1 – i really like the layout but the needle search isnt back lit, and seems theres very little choice for attaching cables.

traktor s4 – seems nice but jog wheels seems unnatural location, maybe its the pictures looking that way but seems like that :).

Which one of these could you suggest for fast easy plug and play, and easy to install into a dj booth friendly?

    Thanks.

I use the Denon with Virtual and havenโ€™t had any mapping problems. I find the unit very enjoyable to work with and despite some saying it has a cramped workflow, I find the layout easy enough to use.

The MC6000 has been upgraded in software from Denon lately and in the upgrade there is 2 mappings that comes with it in the zip file. 1 for 4deck and 1 for 2 deck + 2 sample decks. Both of the mappings are very well done.
There is also different mappings to be DL for free on the Traktor Bible site if you are not satisfied with the ones that comes from Denon.
    http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/mappingsflavour.aspx?flavour=t2

When the MC6000 was lounched there was only mappings for Traktor1 and none for Traktor 2.*
And that was terrible for using with Traktor2.

So it is not true at all! Denon MC6000 is very much plug & play.
Also if you go for the MC6000 I will be here covering all your Qs ;-))

Pioneer ddj T1 you should take one more try on before buying as it is not the quality we are used to from Pio IMO
    just the pricetag ๐Ÿ™

The NI S4 is good if you want plug and play with Traktor. But NI is a software company (meaning that they are not as good on hardware as for example Denon IMO) the s4 is more plastic and not as good hardware knobs and buttons as the MC60000.

    Comparsion between S4 and MC6000

Advice: take a look at Denon MC30000 as well it is also a good controller……

And try them all in a store before buying!!!

My nearest shop for dj items will only order in numark and native instrument products for testing nearest place is over 300 km away other than that so unfortuantly its only what i can read on reviews. this is whats making things even harder as some people just have something bad to say about something because its not pioneer..

But i have made my mind up now and it will be the denon i will go for. I already have traktor 2 running so no extra costs. and does seems a waste to buy a controller just to get software a second time.

After seeing the link you posted really opened my eyes to how poor the s4 is compared to the denon.

Thanks very much for your help.
