I’m using VDJ Pro 7.3 with windows and an intel core2duo. I do have a slightly high CPU usage (+/- 30%) just playing a track, but I’ve never had any problems as long as I remember to disable all unnecessary services and my wireless connection.

First Traktor version I used long time ago, terrible, crashed a lot. Traktor 2.0 forward, bliss.

Well I mostly use VDJ at the moment, but I have all the above and run them on a Mac easily. No matter if it is my old one with Core2Duo 2.2 GHz or my new one with the i7. Both have 4gigs RAM.

Traktor 2.6, Alienware m15x, Core i7 First gen 920 Extreme, 8 gigs ram, 7200 rpm HD 500gigs, Win7 Stripped down

Macbook Pro 2011, core i5 i think, with 6 gigs ram…hardly ever use this laptop mostly for production only.

Traktor Pro on a Sony Vaio SVE1511 with Intel i5 and 6GB RAM. Great machine, 4x USB ports (3x USB 2.0 & 1x USB 3.0 – great for an external HDD), backlight keyboard (lifesaver), little bloatware that is easily removable but anywhay has no effect on the machine’s performance. Never had a crashnor overheating issues. Only hiccup is that the wireless adapter has to be disabled or else it causes CPU spikes.

    software:
Ableton Live with selected VST effects/synths and custom rack effects, Bome’s Midi translator Pro – when full deployed, a total of 24 decks-channels (6 audio decks for tracks and loops), 2 synth tracks, an 8-channel custom designed drum sampler (using Live’s sampler) and 8 channels of a VST synth drum machine, μTonic

    hardware:
HP laptop, i3 CPU, win 7 64 bit, 4GB RAM
Behringer BCR 2000 (acts as the “main mixer”)
Launchpad (triggering tracks and loops – also acts as a step sequencer for the drum sampler via MaxForLive)
iPad2 running Lemur (MOST of the stuff not covered by BCR are midi controlled by this baby)
    Korg microKeys – microKontrol (occationally)
