I am not a big fan of the Wego series, primarily because the button layout is so far from “regular” that I don’t find it comfortable working.

That said, you are not gonna get anything to “pro” for under 300 bucks either. If you are a starter, our advise is to NOT start with a pro-level controller anyway. Starter controllers aren’t called that for nothing. They have all you need, but nothing that can make you stray from the things you need to work on when just starting, which is all pretty straightforward mixing and some FX use.

A more substantial controller would be the Numark iDJ Pro for example. Something a bit more pro-like would be the Reloop BeatPad 2. Not out too long, so the pricing is quite a bit out of your budget.

You could look for a BeatPad (previous model) on the second hand market. My personal choice would rather be a used BeatPad than a new Wego3, but that is a highly personal choice.

I would keep saving and do lots of research for a decent period of time…. BeatPad2 looks to be a great tool, I love my Reloop TM8, built really well… my advice would be not to rush it… and while you keep researching, save your pennies… best of luck, keep us posted when you make your choice… Moonshadow

keep an eye on amazon, i got my Denon DJ MC4000 (normally $400) for $300 due to a sale they were having on all musical instruments. Just watch and hopefully, you’ll get lucky
